Arts Collective Theatre invites you to experience Christmas through the power of music, community, and heart with Season of Soul — a soul-stirring celebration of the season.
Blending Gospel, R&B, Motown, and classic Soul, Season of Soul reimagines beloved Christmas favorites with rich harmonies, joyful rhythms, and stories that speak to the spirit of the season. These are the songs you know — lifted higher, felt deeper, and delivered with passion, authenticity, and joy.
More than a concert, Season of Soul is an experience. Voices rise, spirits lift, and stories unfold through music that honors tradition while celebrating culture, connection, and hope. From moments of powerful praise to feel-good grooves that make it impossible not to move, this show captures the heart of Christmas — love, gratitude, resilience, and togetherness.
Whether you grew up with Gospel on Sunday mornings, Motown on the radio, or Soul music playing through family gatherings, Season of Soul feels like home. It’s a reminder of where we come from, what brings us together, and why this season matters.

AVAILABLE ROLES
ENSEMBLE VOCALISTS (ALL VOICE PARTS)
Ages: 18+
All genders, identities, body types, and ethnicities encouraged to submit
Seeking performers with:
Strong vocal technique and blend
Comfort singing harmony and featured solos
Experience with Gospel, R&B, Motown, and Soul styles
Confident audience engagement in a concert-style setting
Comfort with light movement or staging (no advanced dance required)
VOICE TYPES — Sopranos, Altos, Tenors, Baritones / Basses
FEATURED SOLOISTS
Selected ensemble vocalists may be featured as soloists throughout the production.
Ideal candidates:
Dynamic solo presence
Strong emotional storytelling through music
Ability to interpret holiday material with soul and originality
Comfort leading musical moments and call-and-response sections
DANCERS / MOVEMENT ARTISTS
Ages: 18+
All genders, identities, body types, and ethnicities encouraged to submit
Seeking dancers with:
Strong musicality and rhythm
Experience in styles such as Jazz, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, African, Latin, or Social Dance
Comfort performing to Gospel, R&B, Motown, and Soul music
Ability to bring joy, energy, and storytelling through movement
Comfort interacting with vocalists and audience
Note:
This is a movement-forward but not dance-heavy production.
Dancers may be featured in group numbers, transitions, and audience-engaging moments.
Partnering skills are a plus but not required.
OPTIONAL SPECIALTY SKILLS
Performers with additional talents are encouraged to note them in submissions:
Spoken word or narration
Improvisation or audience interaction
Instrumental ability (piano, guitar, percussion)

Season of Soul is a concert-style ensemble production, not a traditional musical.
Casting prioritizes vocal excellence, movement quality, authenticity, and ensemble chemistry.
Performers may appear in multiple musical styles throughout the show.
